Delhi tours and sightseeing

Delhi tours across the historic old city and the monuments of New Delhi — private guided tours, sightseeing by car and day plans built around your schedule.

Why Delhi

Delhi is really two cities. Old Delhi is the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and the lanes of Chandni Chowk, best seen on foot and by rickshaw. New Delhi is India Gate, Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, spread out and better by car.

Most visitors have one day. That is enough for both halves if the morning goes to the old city and the afternoon to the new.

Questions people ask about Delhi

How many days do I need in Delhi?
One full day covers both Old and New Delhi. Two days adds the museums, the temples and time in the markets.
Is the rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk worth it?
Yes. The lanes are too narrow and too busy for a car, and the spice market is the part people remember.
Which monuments close on certain days?
Most are open daily, but the Red Fort closes on Mondays. We plan around it.
Can the tour start from the airport?
Yes. Many travellers do this on a long layover — airport pickup, the city tour, and back in time for the next flight.
Where is the best area to stay in Delhi?
Central Delhi around Connaught Place and the embassy area is convenient for sightseeing and has a good choice of hotels. Aerocity, next to the airport, suits early flights and short stays.
What local food should I try in Delhi?
Stuffed parathas and street chaat in Old Delhi, butter chicken and kebabs, and a sweet lassi or kulfi to finish. Your guide will point you to places that are clean as well as good.
Where should I go shopping in Delhi?
Dilli Haat for crafts from every state, Janpath for souvenirs, Khan Market for books and boutiques, and Chandni Chowk for spices, textiles and wedding wear.
How do I get from Delhi to Agra?
Agra is about 230 km away, roughly three to three and a half hours by car on the Yamuna Expressway. The Gatimaan Express is faster, leaving Hazrat Nizamuddin at 8:10 am and taking about 100 minutes, but it does not run on Fridays.
Is Delhi safe for tourists?
Yes, with the usual big-city care. A private car and a guide take care of most of the hassle, and it is wise to keep valuables close in crowded markets like Chandni Chowk.
