   Jama Masjid, built in the 1650s and still a working mosque; a rickshaw through the lanes of Chandni Chowk; the Khari Baoli spice market; and the Red Fort, home of the Mughal emperors for nearly two centuries, from outside.

3. Option B · 6 hours

   New Delhi — monuments and gardens

   Humayun's Tomb from the 1560s; India Gate, the 42-metre memorial to more than 70,000 soldiers of the First World War; a drive past Parliament House; Qutub Minar, begun in 1193; and the Lotus Temple, completed in 1986.

Morning is best for the New Delhi route because it is cooler and quieter. Old Delhi works well any time from about 10 AM, and we can set the pickup time to suit you. Remember the Red Fort is closed on Mondays.
