Your day by day

1. Day 1

   Old Delhi

   Jama Masjid, a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, a walk through the spice market, the Red Fort, Raj Ghat — Mahatma Gandhi's memorial — and the carved halls and exhibitions of Akshardham Temple. Back to your hotel.

2. Day 2

   New Delhi

   After breakfast: Humayun's Tomb and Qutub Minar, both UNESCO sites; the Lotus Temple; Gurudwara Bangla Sahib; and photo stops at India Gate and Parliament House. Drop-off at your hotel or chosen address.

Is this a private Delhi sightseeing tour?

Yes. Only your group takes part, travelling in your own AC car with a driver and a licensed English-speaking guide.

Are monument entrance tickets included?

Yes. All monument tickets are included in the price, and your guide handles them at each gate so you skip the ticket queue.

Is airport pick-up and drop-off available?

Yes. We pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in Delhi NCR or at Delhi Airport on both days.

Does the tour include hotel accommodation?

No, hotels are not part of this tour. You can book your own, or ask us and we will be glad to suggest and arrange a stay to suit your budget.

Is the rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk included?

Yes, it is part of the Old Delhi day. Since the Red Fort is closed on Mondays, we plan the Old Delhi day for another day of the week.

Is this tour suitable for families and senior travelers?

Yes. Spreading Delhi over two days keeps the pace gentle, and the private car and flexible timings make it comfortable for all ages.

Can we take phones and cameras into Akshardham?

No. Phones, cameras and bags must be left at the cloakroom at Akshardham, so we allow a little extra time for that. Akshardham, like the Red Fort, is closed on Mondays, which is another reason we plan the Old Delhi day for a different day of the week.

What should we wear for the mosques and temples?

Clothes that cover shoulders and knees work for every stop, and you will remove your shoes at Jama Masjid, Akshardham, the Lotus Temple and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. At the gurudwara everyone covers their head, so a scarf is useful.

Are meals included, and where do we eat?

Meals are not included, so you can eat wherever you like. Your guide will suggest clean, popular places along the way, from Old Delhi favourites to vegetarian restaurants, and you can even join the free langar at Bangla Sahib.
