Questions people ask

Which park is best for seeing tigers?
Bandhavgarh and Ranthambore have the best sighting records, followed by Kanha, Pench and Corbett. Spending two or three safaris in a park matters more than which park you pick.
When is the safari season?
October to June. Most core zones close from July to mid-October for the monsoon. March to May is hot but the best time for tigers, as animals come to the water.
Jeep or canter — which is better?
A six-seat jeep (gypsy) is quieter and gets closer. Canters carry twenty people and are cheaper. All our tours use jeeps, and a private jeep can be booked for your group.
Do I need to book safaris in advance?
Yes. Park permits are released online by the forest department, usually 90 to 120 days ahead, and popular zones sell out. We book them as soon as your dates are confirmed.
Are wildlife tours suitable for children?
Yes, for most children over five. Each safari lasts three to four hours in an open vehicle, so bring layers for cold winter mornings.
Can I combine a tiger safari with the Taj Mahal?
Yes. Ranthambore sits conveniently between Agra and Jaipur, so it slots into a Golden Triangle route with two nights and two or three safaris.
Which tiger reserve is closest to Delhi?
Jim Corbett, about five to six hours by road from Delhi. Ranthambore is the easier choice from Agra or Jaipur, while Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench in Madhya Pradesh are reached by flight or train via Jabalpur or Nagpur.
What should I wear on a jungle safari?
Neutral colours such as khaki, olive or beige, plus a hat, sunscreen and a scarf for the dust. Winter mornings in an open jeep are cold, so bring a warm jacket and gloves from November to February.
Do I need ID for a safari permit?
Yes. Permits are booked in each traveller's name with passport or ID details, and you must carry the same original ID on the safari, as forest staff check it at the gate.
