Twelve to thirteen days is what the full circuit needs. Shorter routes work by dropping Bikaner and Jaisalmer rather than by rushing everything.

Questions people ask

Which places are worth including?
Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Pushkar and Ranthambore, depending on your interests and how long you have.
How many days do I need?
Twelve to thirteen days covers the full circuit comfortably. Eight to ten days works if you drop the desert leg.
Is a private car and driver included?
Yes, for the whole route — the same driver stays with you across all the cities.
Can Rajasthan be added to a Golden Triangle tour?
Yes. The eight and ten day routes do exactly that, adding Jodhpur, Pushkar or Udaipur to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
When should I travel?
October to March. Desert nights in December and January get genuinely cold, so pack for it.
Where do Rajasthan tours start and end?
Most start in Delhi and finish in Udaipur, from where you fly back rather than drive. We can also start from Agra or Jaipur if that suits your plans better.
How long are the drives between cities?
Usually four to six hours, with stops for lunch, tea and anything interesting along the way. Jaisalmer is the most remote leg, which is why shorter routes leave it out.
Can we stay in heritage hotels?
Yes. Rajasthan is the best place in India for it, with converted palaces, forts and havelis in most cities. We suggest options in your budget and confirm them with you before booking.
When is the Pushkar Camel Fair?
It is held around the full moon of the Hindu month of Kartik, which falls in October or November. Hotels fill fast in Pushkar during the fair, so it is worth planning early.
