  1. Day 1

    Arrive in Delhi

    Arrive in Delhi, private transfer to your hotel, check in and unwind.

    A full day across Delhi

    Delhi from 9 am — Jama Masjid, a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, the spice market, the Red Fort from outside, then Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple.

  3. Day 3

    To Agra, the Baby Taj and Mehtab Bagh

    Checkout around 10 am, three hours to Agra. Itimad-ud-Daulah, then sunset over the Taj from Mehtab Bagh.

  4. Day 4

    Sunrise Taj Mahal, then on to Ranthambore

    Taj Mahal at sunrise, breakfast and checkout, Agra Fort, then the drive to Ranthambore.

  5. Day 5

    Two tiger safaris in Ranthambore

    Morning safari in Ranthambore National Park, breakfast and rest at the resort, then a second safari in the afternoon.

  6. Day 6

    To Jaipur — City Palace and Jantar Mantar

    Drive to Jaipur, about four hours. City Palace and Jantar Mantar on arrival, with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal.

  7. Day 7

    Amber Fort and the Albert Hall Museum

    Amber Fort, a photo stop at Jal Mahal, the Monkey Temple and the Albert Hall Museum.

  8. Day 8

    The drive to Jodhpur

    Six hours to Jodhpur. Check in and take the rest of the day at your own pace.

  9. Day 9

    Mehrangarh Fort and the Blue City

    Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mandore Gardens and the Clock Tower market.

  10. Day 10

    Ranakpur Temple and on to Udaipur

    Five hours to Udaipur with a stop at the Ranakpur Jain Temple.

  11. Day 11

    Udaipur and a boat on Lake Pichola

    City Palace and Jagdish Temple, a boat ride on Lake Pichola, then Fateh Sagar Lake, Saheliyon Ki Bari and Bagore Ki Haveli.

  12. Day 12

    Departure from Udaipur

    Breakfast, checkout and transfer to Udaipur airport for your flight to Delhi or onward.

Is this Rajasthan Heritage and Wildlife Tour private?
Yes, it is fully private: only your group travels, with your own AC car, a professional driver and licensed English-speaking local guides throughout.
Are monument entrance fees included?
No, monument entrance tickets are not included and are paid directly at each site. Your guide will help you with the tickets on the day.
Is hotel accommodation included?
Yes, in handpicked 3, 4 or 5-star hotels of your choice. A without-hotel option is also available.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel more than seven days before travel for a full refund of the deposit; closer to the date, costs already committed with hotels and transport are deducted. Our terms page has the details.
Is the Lake Pichola boat ride included?
Yes, a boat ride on Lake Pichola is part of your Udaipur sightseeing.
Is the tiger safari included?
Yes, you get two safaris in Ranthambore National Park, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Safaris are in a shared Gypsy even though the rest of the tour is private.
Can the tour be customized?
Yes. We can tailor the itinerary to your interests, pace and travel dates.
When is the best time to book this tour for tiger sightings?
October to April suits the whole route, and sightings in Ranthambore tend to improve from February as the weather warms and animals come out to the waterholes. The park's core zones close during the monsoon, roughly July to September, so for those months we would suggest a version of the tour without the safaris.
What if one of the sightseeing days falls on a Friday or a Monday?
The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays and the Lotus Temple on Mondays, so we set your start date so that the sunrise Taj visit on day 4 and the Delhi day avoid those closures. If your dates are fixed, we simply reorder the stops and tell you in the written itinerary before you book.
