1. Day 1

   Arrive in Delhi

   Airport pickup and transfer to your hotel.

2. Day 2

   Old and New Delhi

   Jama Masjid, a rickshaw through Chandni Chowk and the spice market, the Red Fort from outside, then Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, the Parliament area, Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple.

3. Day 3

   To Agra

   Three hours to Agra. The Baby Taj in the afternoon and sunset at Mehtab Bagh across the river.

4. Day 4

   Taj Mahal at sunrise, then Jaipur

   The Taj Mahal at first light, Agra Fort after breakfast, then to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri.

5. Day 5

   Jaipur

   Amber Fort, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the Galta Ji monkey temple.

6. Day 6

   Jaipur to Bikaner

   Five hours west into the desert. Evening free.

7. Day 7

   Bikaner, then Jaisalmer

   Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace, Karni Mata temple, Gajner Lake and the national camel research farm, then on to Jaisalmer.

8. Day 8

   Jaisalmer and the Sam dunes

   The living fort, Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli, then out to Sam for a camel ride, sunset, folk music and dinner at a desert camp.

9. Day 9

   Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

   Four hours to Jodhpur. Evening at the Clock Tower market.

10. Day 10

    Jodhpur, Ranakpur and Udaipur

    Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and a look at Umaid Bhawan, then south to Udaipur stopping at the Ranakpur Jain temple.

11. Day 11

    Udaipur

    City Palace, Jagdish temple, a boat on Lake Pichola past the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, Fateh Sagar, Saheliyon Ki Bari and the evening show at Bagore Ki Haveli.

12. Day 12

    Fly to Mumbai

    Transfer to Udaipur airport for the flight to Mumbai. Check in and rest.

13. Day 13

    Mumbai

    Gateway of India, Colaba Causeway, the CST station, Marine Drive, Haji Ali Dargah and Siddhivinayak temple.

14. Day 14

    Departure

    Transfer to Mumbai airport.

Are monument entrance fees included?

Yes, 13 nights with breakfast in handpicked 3, 4 or 5-star hotels of your choice. A without-hotel option is also available.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than seven days before travel for a full refund of the deposit; closer to the date, costs already committed with hotels and transport are deducted. Our terms page has the details.

Is the Lake Pichola boat ride included?

Yes, a boat ride on Lake Pichola in Udaipur is included.

Is the desert safari included in Jaisalmer?

Yes. Your Jaisalmer desert experience includes a camel ride on the dunes, a folk cultural programme and dinner at the desert camp.

Can the tour be customized, for example starting from Mumbai and going in reverse?

Yes. We can reverse the route to start in Mumbai or adjust it in other ways to fit your flights and plans.

What is the best time of year for this tour?

October to March is ideal, with warm sunny days and pleasant evenings in the desert. December and January nights at the Sam dunes can be cold, so pack a warm layer, and April to June is very hot across Rajasthan.

What if our Taj Mahal day falls on a Friday?

The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays, so we plan your start date to keep the Agra days clear of it. If your dates are fixed, we rearrange the Agra visit so you still see the Taj at sunrise on another morning.
