Questions people ask

How many days do I need for this tour?
Six days and five nights is enough to see Mysore, Nagarhole, Bandipur and Ooty without rushing. That leaves time for sightseeing, the safaris and some rest along the way.
What animals can I expect to see?
These forests are home to tigers, elephants, gaur, spotted deer, sloth bears and a huge variety of birds. The animals roam free, so sightings depend on the season and a bit of luck.
Is the tour suitable for families with children?
Yes. The pace is gentle, the hotels are comfortable, and a jungle safari is a wonderful way for children to learn about wildlife and conservation.
What is the best time of year for a safari?
October to May is ideal, as the weather is drier and animals gather near water holes, which makes them easier to spot. We suggest avoiding the peak monsoon months, when some parks restrict or close safari zones.
How many safaris are included?
Two safaris by jeep or canter are included, mainly in Nagarhole and Bandipur. If you would like more, extra safaris can be booked locally at an additional cost.
Do I need a visa?
Most international travellers, including those from the US, UK, Canada, UAE and Mexico, need a valid Indian visa. You can check the rules and apply online through the official Government of India visa portal before you fly.
Can the tour be customised?
Absolutely. We can add extra nights, include places like Coorg or Wayanad, or change the hotel category; just tell us what you have in mind and we will shape the plan around it.
Are the hotels close to the national parks?
Our handpicked stays near Bandipur and Nagarhole sit close to the forest edge, so early-morning safaris need only a short drive. In Mysore and Ooty we choose hotels closer to the town centre for easy sightseeing.
Is it safe for children or elderly parents?
Yes. Roads on this route are good, drives are kept reasonably short in our private AC car, and safaris are seated and guided, so they suit older travellers and children with an adult.
What should I pack?
Bring light cotton clothes, a warm layer for cool Ooty evenings, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent and a camera. Neutral or earthy colours are best on forest safaris.
