1. Day 1

   Agra, the Taj Mahal and on to Jaipur

   Early pickup in Delhi, drive to Agra. Taj Mahal and Agra Fort with your guide, then on to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri. Overnight in Jaipur.

2. Day 2

   Amber Fort, the Jaipur palaces and back to Delhi

   Amber Fort at opening, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal, then the drive back to Delhi.

Why skip Delhi?

Many travellers have already seen Delhi or are flying in and out of it. This route spends the time on Agra and Jaipur instead.

Which city should we stay in?

Jaipur, usually. It makes day two start at the fort rather than in the car.

How long are the drives?

Delhi to Agra takes about three to four hours, Agra to Jaipur about four to five hours with the stop at Fatehpur Sikri, and Jaipur back to Delhi about five hours. Day one starts early, so the car is a good place to rest between sights.

Can we start this tour on a Friday?

Not for day one, because the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. Start on any other day, or tell us your dates and we will reshape the route around the closure.

Is lunch included?

No, lunch and dinner are not included, but your driver stops at clean restaurants on the highway and in each city. Vegetarian food is easy to find all along the route.

Are there extra camera fees?

Phone photography is generally free, but a few monuments charge a small fee for video cameras, which you pay on the spot. Your guide will tell you where it applies.

Can we end the tour in Jaipur instead of driving back to Delhi?

Yes. We can drop you at Jaipur airport or station on day two, or add a night so you are not rushing, and we will adjust the quote before you book.

Can we choose a better hotel?

Yes. We offer 3, 4 and 5-star options for your night, and the category you pick is reflected in the fixed price we send you.

How do booking and payment work?

We send you a written itinerary and a fixed price before you pay anything. The tour is confirmed with a deposit, and the balance is paid on arrival or as agreed.
