Questions people ask
What time does the evening Old Delhi tour start?
We normally pick you up between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, depending on what suits you, and the tour lasts about 4 hours.
Is this a private tour or a group tour?
It is a private tour. You have your own AC car, driver and licensed English-speaking guide, so the evening is planned around your interests.
Is the rickshaw ride included in the tour?
Yes, a cycle-rickshaw ride through the busy lanes of Chandni Chowk is part of the experience.
Can I get picked up from Delhi Airport?
Yes. We offer pickup and drop-off at Delhi Airport as well as at hotels across Delhi NCR.
Are monument entry tickets included?
No, monument entry fees are not included in the standard price. You pay at the gate, and your guide helps you get tickets quickly.
Is the evening tour safe for tourists?
Yes. You are with an experienced driver and a professional local guide the whole time, and you travel in a private car, so you can enjoy the evening with peace of mind.
What should I wear to visit Jama Masjid?
Clothes that cover shoulders and knees are best, and you will remove your shoes before entering the mosque courtyard. Covering robes are usually available at the gate if you need one, and women may want a scarf for the head.
Can I take this tour on a Monday?
Yes. The Red Fort is closed on Mondays, but on this tour it is a photo stop from outside, so the evening runs as planned on any day of the week. Jama Masjid briefly closes to visitors during prayer times, and your guide times the visit around them.
Can we try street food along the way?
Yes. Food and drinks are not included, but your guide can point you to clean, popular stalls in Chandni Chowk where you pay as you go. If food is your main interest, our Old Delhi food tasting tour builds the whole evening around it.
