Is this a private or shared Delhi city tour?
It is completely private: just you and your own group, travelling in an AC car with your own driver and a licensed English-speaking guide. No other travellers are added to your car or your plan for the day.
What time does the tour start and end?
We usually collect you from your hotel or the airport in Delhi NCR at about 9:00 AM, and the tour runs for around 8 hours. When you get back depends on traffic and how long you choose to spend at each stop. Please note the Red Fort is closed on Mondays, so on that day we only see it from outside.
Are monument entrance tickets included?
Yes. All monument tickets are included in the price, and your guide handles them at each gate so you skip the ticket queue.
Are food and drinks included?
Meals are not part of the tour, but we keep bottled water in the car for you. Your guide is happy to suggest clean, well-loved places to eat in Old and New Delhi, so lunch is easy to sort out.
Is the Chandni Chowk rickshaw ride safe and included?
Yes, the cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk is included and is one of the highlights of the day. The riders know these lanes well, and your guide stays close to you the whole time.
Is this tour suitable for families and senior travellers?
Yes. We keep the pace easy and the walking short, and your guide can add rest stops or change the order of sights for children, older travellers or anyone who needs extra breaks.
Do I need a visa?
Most foreign visitors, including those from the US, UK, Canada, UAE and Mexico, need a valid Indian visa or e-Visa before they travel. Please check the latest rules on the official Indian government visa website before you book flights.
What should I wear, especially at Jama Masjid?
Clothes that cover your shoulders and legs are best, and you will remove your shoes before entering the mosque, so slip-on footwear is handy. Women may want to carry a scarf for their head, and loose robes are usually available at the gate if needed.
Can I do this tour during a long layover?
Yes. We can collect you from Delhi airport, keep your luggage locked in the car with the driver while you sightsee, and drop you back at the airport in good time for your flight.
