Is this a private tour?

Yes, it is fully private. You have your own AC car, driver and licensed English-speaking guide, and we never add other travellers to your group.

What time is pickup?

We pick you up early, usually around 5:00 AM, from your hotel or the airport in Delhi NCR, though we can adjust this to suit you. The drive to Jaipur takes about 4 to 5 hours each way.

Are monument tickets included?

Yes. All monument tickets are included in the price, and your guide handles them at each gate so you skip the ticket queue.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than seven days before travel for a full refund of the deposit; closer to the date, costs already committed with hotels and transport are deducted. Our terms page has the details.

What should I wear for the Jaipur city tour?

Wear comfortable, light clothes and good walking shoes, as the forts involve slopes and steps. Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is best for forts, palaces and temples.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?

Parts of it are, but Amber Fort has steep ramps, uneven stone paths and many steps, and some areas of the City Palace and Hawa Mahal are hard to reach without help. Tell us about any mobility needs when you book and we will plan the route and any assistance around them.

Is the elephant ride at Amber Fort included?

No, the elephant ride is not included and depends on availability and local rules on the day. If it is running you can pay for it at the fort; otherwise a jeep or a walk up the ramparts with your guide gets you to the gate.

Where do we have lunch?

Around 12:30 pm your guide takes you to a clean local restaurant serving Indian, Rajasthani or continental food, with plenty of vegetarian options. Lunch is not included, so you pay for what you order.

What is the best time of year for this day trip?

October to March is the most comfortable, with mild days for walking around the forts. On some winter mornings fog can slow the early drive, and in May and June the midday heat is intense, so we start early and keep you in the shade where we can.
