Questions people ask

Is this a private Jaipur tour or a shared tour?
It is private. We handle your station transfers in a private AC car, and in Jaipur you have your own car, driver and licensed English-speaking guide.
Are train tickets included in the tour?
Yes. Return train tickets in AC chair car are included, and we book the seats for you in advance so you simply board with your guide's help.
How fast is the train from Delhi to Jaipur?
The fastest trains take around 4 to 4.5 hours, which makes this the quickest way to see Jaipur in a single day. The morning train usually leaves New Delhi around 6:00 AM and reaches Jaipur around 10:30 AM, and the evening train back gets you to Delhi at about 10:30 PM, so we pick you up at around 5:00 AM.
Is the elephant ride at Amber Fort guaranteed?
No. Elephant rides depend on availability and local rules on the day, so we cannot promise one. If they are not running, you can go up to the fort by jeep or on foot instead.
Is this tour suitable for senior travelers?
Yes. The train is comfortable and quick, you have private help at both stations, and we keep the sightseeing at a balanced, unhurried pace.
What should I carry for the tour?
Please bring a valid photo ID or passport (needed for train travel), comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses and light clothes suited to the weather. A scarf or shawl is useful for temples.
Is food served on the train?
Yes, breakfast is served on board on the morning train, and meals are usually served on the evening train back as well. Lunch in Jaipur is not included, and your guide will take you to a clean local restaurant with vegetarian options.
What happens if the train is running late?
Your guide and driver track the train and wait for you at the Jaipur coach, and your Delhi driver does the same at night. If the morning train is delayed, we adjust the order of the sightseeing so you still see the main sites.
Can I bring large luggage on this day trip?
It is best to travel light with a day bag, since you will be moving between stations, the car and the sights. If you are checking out of your Delhi hotel that day, ask the hotel to hold your bags, or tell us in advance and we will plan around it.
