Where does the tour start?

We collect you from your hotel, the railway station or the airport in Jaipur in your private AC car. If you are coming from Delhi or Agra, tell us and we can plan the transfer as part of your trip.

Are monument tickets included?

Yes. All monument tickets are included in the price, and your guide handles them at each gate so you skip the ticket queue.

Why do we visit Amber Fort so early?

Arriving as the gates open means cooler air, softer light for photographs and the courtyards before the big groups arrive. It is the best way to enjoy the fort at an unhurried pace.

Is the elephant ride at Amber Fort included?

No, the elephant ride is not included. If you would like it, let us know in advance; otherwise you go up to the fort by jeep or on foot along the ramparts.

Will the craft workshop turn into a shopping stop?

No. The workshop is there so you can watch Jaipur's craftspeople at work, and buying anything is entirely up to you. We never force shopping on our guests.

Can I upgrade the hotel or add another night?

Yes. One night in a heritage hotel with breakfast is included, and we can upgrade the category or add nights on request, subject to availability. Your written quote will show any change before you pay.

What is the best time of year for this tour?

October to March brings the most comfortable weather for forts and bazaars. In the hot months of April to June we keep the sightseeing to the cooler early mornings and late afternoons, which this itinerary already favours.

Is there much walking, and is it suitable for older travellers?

Amber Fort and Nahargarh involve slopes, steps and uneven stone, so comfortable shoes help. Your guide sets an easy pace, adds rest stops and can skip the steepest parts for anyone who needs to take it gently.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel more than seven days before travel for a full refund of the deposit; closer to the date, costs already committed with hotels and transport are deducted. Our terms page has the details.
