Yes, from Agra Cantt, Agra Fort or Raja ki Mandi station. Send us your train number.

What if we are in Agra on a Friday?

The Taj Mahal is closed, so we swap it for Fatehpur Sikri and Akbar's Tomb, and see the Taj from Mehtab Bagh.

Do we have to visit the marble inlay workshop?

No. It is an optional twenty minutes to watch the craftsmen at work, and you can skip it entirely. We never force shopping and there is no obligation to buy.

What can we take inside the Taj Mahal?

Keep it light: phones, cameras, a small bag and a bottle of water are fine. Food, tobacco, tripods, drones and large bags are not allowed, so leave them in the car.

Can we see the Taj Mahal at sunrise instead?

Yes. We simply collect you earlier so you are at the gate when it opens around sunrise, and the rest of the day moves forward to match.

Do we need to book Taj Mahal tickets in advance?

No. Entry tickets are not included, but your guide helps you buy them on the morning, usually online to skip the queue. Foreign visitors should carry their passport.

Is the Taj Mahal suitable for wheelchair users or elderly travellers?

Largely, yes. Electric buses run from the parking area to the gate, and wheelchairs are available at the entrance, though the main mausoleum platform has steps. Tell us in advance and your guide will plan the easiest route.

What if it is foggy in winter?

In December and January the Taj Mahal can sit in morning mist until the sun burns it off. Your guide can switch the order and return to the best viewpoints once it clears, and the Mehtab Bagh sunset gives you a second look.
