Delhi, Agra and Jaipur sit roughly four hours apart by road. That geometry decides everything about how long the route needs.

Three days

Workable, and genuinely popular. Day one is Delhi and the drive to Agra. Day two is the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the drive to Jaipur. Day three is Jaipur and the drive back. You see all the headline sights and you spend about twelve hours in the car.

Choose it if your time is fixed. Do not choose it if you dislike early mornings, because it only works with them.

Five days

This is the version we recommend most. Each city gets a full day rather than the gaps between drives. You can see the Taj at both sunrise and sunset, walk through Old Delhi properly, and have an afternoon in Jaipur with nothing booked.

Seven days

Two nights in every city. The extra time becomes free time rather than more monuments, which is exactly what most people want by day five of an India trip.

Longer

Beyond a week you are no longer doing the Golden Triangle; you are doing the Golden Triangle plus something. Ranthambore for tigers, Udaipur for lakes, Varanasi for the river, Amritsar for the Golden Temple. Each adds two to three days.

The mistake worth avoiding

Trying to fit the three cities into two days. It can be done and we will quote for it, but the day starts at 6 am, ends at 10 pm, and the thing people remember afterwards is the car.
